Ingredient Superpowers
Dried Lavender Flowers | Lemon Balm | Lemon Essential Oil
Lavender is a powerhouse of the plant world. It has many uses however, in our bath teas we primarily use it for reducing the symptoms of stress and anxiety and to calm the body down.
Lemon has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 1000 years to treat a wide spectrum of health conditions. The health benefits of lemon have been well-established scientifically. Lemon is best known for its ability to cleanse toxins from the body, and it is widely used to stimulate lymphatic drainage, rejuvenate energy, purify skin, and fight bacteria and fungi.

Precautions
Precautions
Precautions:
If you have particularly sensitive skin or are using a bath tea for the first time, we recommend the following precautions:
- Patch test: Before taking a full bath, test the bath salts on a small area of skin to check for any sensitivity or reactions i.e. place your foot into the bath for a period of time prior to immersing your whole body.
- Rinse thoroughly: After soaking, rinse off with fresh water to remove any salt residue
- Moisturize: Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to replenish lost moisture and prevent dryness
- Avoid open wounds: Don't take a bath if you have open wounds
- If you have a skin condition like psoriasis, acne, or atopic dermatitis, we recommend to talk to your healthcare provider before taking one of our tea baths.
Further Precautions:
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have any health concerns or medications that could be affected by a hot bath infused with essential oils, herbs and flowers, please consult with your doctor prior to use.
As some of our bath teas have a small amount of essential oil in them, we do not recommend them for children under 12 years of age.

How to Have a Bath Tea
Step One - Prepare
Take your bath tea and your steeping bag to prepare your bath tea. Each 500g pot of bath tea will be perfect for four separate baths.
Step Two - Decant and Steep
Decant about 1/4 of your 500g pot of bath tea into your steeping bag.
After you have done this, you can choose from several options for your bath:
Option One: Boil some water and place your steeping bag in a separate bowl for 5 minutes. Allow ingredients to steep in the water just like a tea bag.
Option Two: Run a very hot bath and place your steeping bag directly into the bath. Swirl the bag around so it releases all the goodness of your bath tea. Wait until the bath is cool enough to bathe in.
Option Three: If you don't mind all of the ingredients loose in your bath, you can simply throw 1/4 of the pot of bath tea directly into your bath and swirl it around to release the goodness.
Step 3 - Enjoy
Once the bath is cool enough and your bath bag has steeped long enough (approximately five to ten minutes in the bath or five minutes in the bowl) you can now enjoy your bath.
If you have steeped in a bowl, pour the contents including your steep bag into your bath and get in!
If you have steeped the bag directly into the bath, just hop on in!
Squeeze the steeping bag to release the aromas, nutrients and colours.
*Be careful not to burn yourself as the steeping water retained in the steeping bag may still be hot.
